Mooning About

Silver Moon Artisan Liqueur-Infused Ice Creams

From the desk of Dr. Love:

Patient’s Symptoms: Sudden fits of weeping, an irrepressible urge to gorge on fatty foods, friends promising nights out on the town.

Diagnosis: An acute case of the he’s-a-douche blues.

Rx: Rather than satisfying your cravings with plain ice cream (too vanilla) or drinking yourself into a stupor (too juvenile), kill two birds with one stone with a pint of Silver Moon Desserts artisan liqueur-infused ice cream.

The Los Gatos-based company, founded by former Silicon Valley tech veteran Sheri Tate, spikes each one of its ice creams and sorbets. Flavors include praline Irish cream, crème de mint chip, bourbon vanilla bean, fully loaded chocolate cherries jubilee (chocolate ice cream with brandy-soaked amarena cherries), and equally decadent sorbets like mojito ice and pomegranate martini.

Dosage: Take two scoops and don’t call (or text) anyone ’til morning.
