Savour Gourmet Food Shop Opens

Two hundred bucks on groceries, twenty minutes in line, another ten parking, traffic there and back: Holiday cooking takes its toll.

At least your kitchen can be prepared. At Ballard’s new specialty food store, Savour, you’ll find La Quecia, Boccalone, and Fermin charcuterie. Local cheeses (Quillisascut Farms, Samish Bay Cheese, Estrella Family Creamery, and River Valley Ranch are just some) are stocked in the beautiful vintage-style deli case. Pick up daily bread from Macrina, Northwest wine and beer, fancy vinegars, chutneys, fruit butters, linens, tableware, culinary gadgets, and more.

Then take a load off in the cozy deep red and lime space with a cheese plate, country paté, quiche, or gooey mac and cheese. Caffe Vita coffees or a wide variety of tea make a swell pick-me-up with artisan cookies.

Perfect for those times when you just need to check out.
