Trivia night. (Smarty-pants.)
A receptarist is someone with whom you leave messages. (Wrong.)
A philatelist is a person practiced in fellatio. (Nope. But there is licking.)
One who acquires A Small Collection, however, is clever. (Indeed.)
Artist and housewares designer Alyson Fox’s latest project presents an ever-evolving edited group of handcrafted works. This spring you can hoard her stunning accessories and clothing.
As tactile as sculptures and evocative as her serene drawings, the necklaces mix industrial metals, like ball chains, with wood and turquoise beads. She even hand-inks prints to make unique fabric beads and cords.
Geometric silk-screened or ikat tanks and a simple silk dress, intended as pedestal pieces for the jewelry, are just as artful as the pendants.
And each creation is a limited-edition piece.
Making them all no trivial pursuit.
