Pastry chef extraordinaire William Werner (formerly of Quince and Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay) has started an exquisite, monthly subscription dessert CSA through his new Tell Tale Preserve Company.
For $35 a month, members of the Tell Tale Society receive a rustic burlap sack filled with Werner’s delicate confections, preserves, pastries, and savory breads. Offerings might include silky coffee-laced milk jam, raspberry-white chocolate sables (pictured), praline marshmallows, or fragrant tomato-semolina bread.
Locals can pick up for free (the next drop is October 6) or have the goods delivered for a nominal fee. Either way, consider it a preview of Werner’s storefront, slated to open in Union Square later this fall. Pretty sweet.
