You and your BFF have discussed starting a business, but that cheese shop-slash-car wash sounded better at 2 a.m. on Friday.
Christine Bolghand and Carly Schneider-Clark have figured it out (to your benefit): After touring the country in an indie band, they opened an online clothing boutique, Fancy French Cologne.
Taking its name from a line in a Joni Mitchell song (the owners are musicians), the boutique stocks clothing that transitions seamlessly from work to drinks, all with a vintage-inspired, not-too-girly, aesthetic (printed frocks from Ark & Co and Dolce Vita, a cozy knit blazer from Aryn K., navy Funktional silk pleated shorts, the cutout Cheap Monday sweater pictured here).
Bolghand and Schneider-Clark also asked some of their favorite Etsy artisans to create exclusive pieces like the cream and gray ruffle-front dress from Minxshop and a blue velvet clutch from KiuDesigns. Which is just crying to be carried on your next bar outing.
