Stag Dining Group’s Speakeasy
What: The underground dining outfit, fronted by chefs Ted Fleury and Jordan Grosser, joins forces with the Cocktail Lab for a five-course, artisan libation-paired menu.
Why: Dishes like venison carpaccio with smoked chestnut, and pressed duck confit with mole negro.

The Cosmo Alleycats
What: The local swing band fronted by Emily Wade Adams brings live music back to Blondie’s Bar & No Grill for a rollicking good time.
Why: Huge martinis, no cover, and some of the best swing dancing in the city.

MARVEL
Pop Up Empire
What: This one-night-only art experience highlights six artists and three bands inside an otherworldly house whose psychedelic-themed rooms have names like the Secret Raindrop and Pencilvania.
Why: Take home a DIY pop-up kit so you can get started on your humble abode.

DRINK
ZAP Zinfandel Festival
What: Three days of wine-fueled events include a Good Eats & zinfandel pairing (think lamb lollipops, and peanut butter and jelly truffles) and the most comprehensive zin tasting in the world.
Why: It’s time to wine down.

Winter Brews Festival
What: Head to Berkeley for The Brewing Network’s annual festival, featuring unlimited tastings from more than 30 world-class breweries (Magnolia, Lost Coast, and Lagunitas, to name a few).
Why: Downtown Berkeley BART is a measly two blocks away, so stumbling home will be a breeze.
When: Sat., noon-4 p.m.
