You read messages on your phone and watch TV on your computer. So why not listen to a magazine?
Hear us out: The [Un]Observed, a new online radio magazine launching right here in SF, is as thought-provoking as it is original.
The publication, helmed by journalist and sound artist Tania Ketenijan, culls aural pieces from writers and artists on a wide range of topics, from the quirky (a pop-up tattoo parlor) to the highbrow (a rambling poem of sorts on food politics).
Tune in to hear Joan Rivers wax poetic on her stand-up comedy documentary, a discussion about Richard Avedon’s sweeping exhibit at SFMOMA, or City Lights’s famed Lawrence Ferlinghetti describe his latest book. The cost for this vocal enlightenment? Zero dollars.
We’re all ears.
Available online at theunobserved.com. Launch party this Thursday, 6:30-10 p.m., Ohio Studio, 630 Treat Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets.
