Everyone knows Elizabeth Taylor had the lock on amethyst eyes. Go one shade deeper with the smoky plum seen on Nanette Lepore’s runway.
Start with a shadow pencil to create an intense color along bottom and top lashes up to the crease. Apply lighter purple on the middle of lids and a darker shade on outer corners for a two-dimensional effect.
You’re slightly terrified of things with red eyes (Godzilla, albino bunnies, newly turned vampires). Face your fears the Donna Karan way with a swipe of crimson along upper lids. Just try to avoid the woods at night.
To get glossy eyes, use primer, matte shadow, and a dab of Vaseline or clear lipgloss in the middle of your lids. For a more durable look, start with opaque color from lash line to crease. Then brush a sparkle shadow in the same hue on top.
