2. For a wood surface, nails or screws are sufficient. For plaster or drywall, purchase screws with anchors to help support the weight of the pocket. If possible, screw into a wall stud. For mortar (brick/concrete), drill a hole and use anchors to support the screws. Be sure to use a drill bit made for this material.
