Note Worthy

Hello!Lucky Letterpress Design Studio

hello!lucky!

You’ve been a fan of the traditional ink-and-paper invite since the seventh grade, when you were the queen of passing notes in history class. (How else was everyone going to get wind of your rockin’ slumber party?)

Despite the occasional mishap (interference by eagle-eyed teachers), you’ve never strayed from your old-school ways: You’d rather call off the party than succumb to Evite.

Thanks to sisters Eunice and Sabrina Moyle, creators of Hello!Lucky, a letterpress print and design studio in Berkeley, there’s one more reason to throw a soiree. With custom card stock and retro designs, options include party invites, stationery, moving announcements, birthday cards, wedding invitations, thank-you notes, baby news, holiday cards, and funky everyday notes. The one-of-a-kind designs are hand printed on antique presses (or can be purchased blank and customized at home with an ink jet printer) and paired with matching cello-sleeved or colorful paper envelopes.

A considerable improvement on your old pencil-and-torn-paper invites of yore.

And with far less danger of interception.

Hello!Lucky, 2117 4th Street, Unit A, Berkeley (510-845-9500 or hellolucky.com).
