Whose Room This Is I Think I Know

The Poetry Inn Opens

poetry inn!

I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

It’s unlikely that Robert Frost was referring to the pre-paid reservations and endless traveling associated with weekend getaways. But he certainly could have been.

You won’t have such woes at the new Poetry Inn. The only public accommodations in Napa’s Stags Leap District, the bed and breakfast takes relaxation to poetic levels. Each of the inn’s three rooms has a wood-burning fireplace, Italian linens, a terrace, and an indoor-outdoor shower.

A massage on your private patio can be arranged, a cellarful of rare wines is there for your tasting, and innkeepers are on hand to fulfill your every wish. The rooms are named after — you guessed it — poets. Sleep in a chamber bearing the moniker of Emily Dickinson, Robert Louis Stevenson, or even your old pal Robert Frost.

Has a certain poetic justice, no?

Poetry Inn, 6380 Silverado Trail, at Yountville Cross Road (707-944-0646 or poetryinn.com).
