Take a Lashing

Long-Lasting Eyelash Extensions

pretty eyes!

Between your shrink, your BFF, and your yoga instructor, there’s always someone to keep you from lashing out.

So there’s definitely room in your life for someone who encourages it — like Alisha Valverde. The aesthetician has shacked up with one of the city’s best facialists and is busy applying insanely natural-looking eyelash extensions that last for several months.

Valverde tapes the bottom lashes to the face (no one said this was relaxing) and individually applies about 30 synthetic silk hairs (from eight to twelve millimeters long) to the top lashes of each eye with bonding glue. The meticulous process takes two to three hours, but the results are sure to get you noticed (and not in a Tammy Faye Baker sorta way).

The extensions will fall off naturally as your real lashes grow. At which point, you may experience feelings of loss, anger, and sorrow.

In which case, you’ll know just where to go.

Alisha Valverde, 815 Hyde Street, between Bush and Sutter Streets, suite 200 (415-847-3340 or medestheticsrx.com).
