Holier Than Thou

She-bible’s Fall Collection

A priest, a rabbi, and a minister walk into a bar.

The bartender says, “Thou shall not make religious jokes in mixed company.”

So, without further ado, we give you She-bible, a nondenominational, homegrown label that will have folks of all faiths genuflecting.

Combining soft jersey and cotton blends, the fall line pays homage to the city’s constant state of autumn, with rich hues of eggplant, rust, moss green, and charcoal. Pray for the Edie, a French terry jumper in black; worship the Frankie, an oversize fleece pullover with a giant hood and pockets; or devote yourself to the Juliette, an empire-cut dress with a scoop neck and balloon sleeves.

Our personal sartorial miracle, however, is the Classic dress, a cowl-neck number that’s perfect for when Saint Peter meets you at the pearly gates of heaven and asks …
