Brick House

One Brick

volunteer!

Last time you volunteered, it was punishment for sneaking beer into your dorm. These days, you have a better chance of getting arrested than finding time to lend a helping hand.

You don’t have to be bad to do good. Just register with One Brick, which provides volunteers to local nonprofits in need.

It’s entirely commitment free, so you choose when you volunteer. (No weekly engagements, no specific timetables.) And since the organization is 99.9-percent volunteer run, there’s no red tape. Pick something that appeals (kids, the environment, food banks, schools, etc.) and sign up to help out.

This year, they’re listing about 30 events per month, and they need all the help they can get.

You might even make a few friends in the process.

Which is more than you can say for campus security.
