To the Letter
Linea Carta Cards

Face to face, you’re a whiz with words. But when you have to compose a heartfelt thanks, finding the perfect bon mot makes you feel like you’re back in first grade.
Mind your p’s and q’s with a card from Linea Carta, the new line from Berkeley-based designer Diva Pyari.
The alphabet-inspired cards speak for themselves. There’s one for every letter, with a straightforward illustration accompanied by a word or phrase. “E” shows an elephant with the word exceptional, and “K” has a kite and “so very kind.” You’ll find fitting love notes, too: “A” is for anchor, as in you’re “my anchor,” while “L” is for, you guessed it, “lovebirds.”
Now you know your ABC’s. Next time won’t you just sign and send the thing?
Available at Erica Tanov, 2408 Fillmore Street, at Washington Street (415-674-1228); Lola, 2950 College Avenue, Berkeley (510-981-8345). To see styles, go to linea-carta.com.
