You suffer from sticker shock all too often: $4 for an organic peach, $50 for a tank of gas, $200 for a pair of jeans. (Gasp.)

Before you go totally broke, start sticking it to the man. Or at least to your basic white porcelain with Jansen + Co.’s fun dishware decals.

Farm animal shapes (horsies, pigs, dogs, cats) give mugs a retro ’50s feel. Swirly leaf and floral patterns add an elegant touch to plate edges. Bright red and blue birdies cheer up a dull chip bowl. Plus, you can also affix them to glass, tiles, mirrors, and plastics.

The decals are steam-, heat-, and water-resistant, and won’t fall off in the dishwasher. And at $6 a sheet, it’s a lot cheaper than a new set of china.

And we’re happily stuck on that.
