Basket Case

Carrie Bicycle Basket

so sweet!

A-tisket, a-tasket, a crack-head stole your basket.
You wrote a letter to the cops, but they told you just to drop it.

On the brighter side: Now there’s a reason to invest in a pretty new lace one for your bike.

Swedish designer Marie-Louise Gustafsson was inspired by her granny’s crocheted tablecloths to make the plastic Carrie basket. Available in green, black, and white, they’re not only aesthetically pleasing but awfully functional, too.

Pack it with snacks for an Indian summer picnic and ride to the nearest patch of grass. Turn it upside down and it becomes a sweet little table. (The bikeless can opt for the regular shopping version.)

Instructions and hardware for mounting the baskets are included. And there’s a strap for throwing it over your shoulder when you park your wheels.

All together now:
A-tisket, a-tasket,
Hooray! You love your basket.
