Super Market
Atomic Garden

You’ve been blessed with superhuman powers: shape-shifting (thanks, Spanx), clairvoyance (horoscopes), and the desire to save the planet from environmental evils.
If only you could leap the bridge in a single bound to get to Atomic Garden, a new Oakland boutique specializing in all things sustainable and organic.
The space is a chic, minimalist country mart, down to the vintage cash register, reclaimed farm wood jewelry cases, and shelving made from water towers. Racks buck trends in favor of toasty fall staples like knit sweaters, beanies, denim, and velvety soft tees.
Not to mention other foggy-day essentials like handmade comforters, journals recycled from old books, silk screen-printed Sharon Spain pillows, and WoodSprite herbal bath salts.
When you’re armed with a fistful of cash, the goods will feel like kryptonite.
Which begs the question: Who will save you from spending a week’s pay all at once?
Atomic Garden, 5453 College Avenue, between Taft and Kales Avenues, Oakland (510-923-0543 or atomicgardenoakland.com).
