Hello, Bon-Bon Bakeshop Opens

hellooooo, bon-bon!

Yeah, yeah. Minute on the lips, lifetime on the hips.

But if those extra calories also meant social and environmental justice for all, well, that would be a fair trade and a worthy sacrifice.

Pastry chef Treasa Ewing agrees, which is why she uses only fair-trade ingredients from NorCal farmers to make all the treats for her new Hello, Bon-Bon Bakeshop.

Butterlicious scones come in ginger, cream, and cocoa flavors; short capp cupcakes are made with Blue Bottle espresso frosting. Green tea, coconut, and toasted sesame truffles will please vegans, and even chocophobes will drool for chocolate ganache-drizzled cakes and big almond-butter cookies.

Everything is made to order, and for now delivery is available only in San Francisco.

Onward, sweet soldier.
