’Tis the season for sharing, so we thought we’d let you in on a favorite warm and fuzzy reader letter from this past year.

We were out of work, going broke, and found out we were pregnant when my husband convinced me he could turn my treats into a business. We took all our savings and credit cards and started our company.

We had just returned to a filthy home after being evacuated for four days due to the San Diego wild fires. Our baby was 6 weeks old, we were stressed out, and the smoke was taking its toll, plus we had no money to make our mortgage. Then the DailyCandy article hit, and we woke up to more than $5,000 in sales and hundreds and hundreds of orders. We were overwhelmed. But we made our house payment.

How do we say “thank you” when thank you is not enough? DailyCandy changed our lives and gave us the best holiday gift anyone could ever ask for.
