Candy Flipping

Droga Rocky Road Chocolate

just say yes to droga!

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Oy. We’ve got a big one with Droga rocky road candy.

Founder Michelle Bordin started pushing her mama’s old-fashioned recipe after being hooked for 25 years. The name (not surprisingly) means “drug” in Italian.

Each habit-forming morsel is filled with handmade marshmallows and salty, dry-roasted peanuts, then covered with Guittard dark chocolate or Ghirardelli milk chocolate. Pass them out as individual party favors, order posh platters for cocktails, or stash a box (or, oh, five) in the cupboard.

Community service is included (good, because things will get out of hand): The company donates 1 percent of its profits to Build.

We’re desperate for more, so Bordin gave us the inside scoop on what’s she cooking up next: classic honeycomb.

Better take it one piece at a time.
