Knit Wit
Little Purls Jewelry

Under, over, up and down, side to side, and around the loop she goes.
Need the missing link? Try Tally Locke’s imaginative jewelry, which uses the most basic knitting techniques and flips them up, creating truly unique pieces in an array of brilliant colors.
At her studio near Sacramento, Locke knits in the round with natural fibers like cotton and wool on double-pointed needles using a basic stockinette stitch, then she felts most pieces for extra fuzzy-wuzziness.
You’ll flip for buttoned collars, cable cuffs, unisex ties knit on the bias, and our personal faves — the Faux Bling chain link earrings in canary yellow and felted triple-tiered necklace in neon green.
Think you’ll have to pay the price for such a bold statement?
Knot so much.
Available August 15-17 at the American Craft Show, Fort Mason Center, between Fisherman’s Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge, Herbst and Festival pavilions (800-836-3470 or craftcouncil.org/sf); online at littlepurls.etsy.com.
