When creating mashups, there are some that work (songs, potatoes) and some that don’t (your parents with your in-laws).

A local seamstress and fabric visionary, Holzman combines treasures from her collection of vintage pieces with your has-beens to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces by simply cutting and sewing. Watch her transform sequined prom frocks, polyester leisure suits, and floral muumuus into showstopping designs.

Those keen with a needle and thread can order custom-made patterns from her other biz, Time Honored Patterns, a catalog of vintage patterns dating back to the 1950s.

Either way, you’ll end up with a great mix.
