v. To friend strangers based on their profile pictures.

n. A picture of someone or something other than the profilee. Meant to amuse; usually annoys.

n. Music or video files obtained through piracy.

social netlurking
v. To join a social network for the sole purpose of stalking a member.
(Betsy created an account just to keep tabs on her ex.)

status symbol
n. The combined use of numbers and characters to create an icon.
