You dream of wearing pajamas in the daytime.
And it has nothing to do with nightmarish loungewear (put the velour tracksuit away). Comfy dressing gets a stylish upgrade with designer Lizzie Parker’s latest collection of flowy dresses, cowl-necked tops, and wraparound sweaters.
Soft fabrics, like rayon/Lycra blends, are cut and draped into oversize T-shirts, flouncy shorts, and handkerchief-edged tank dresses in gray, black, cobalt, and beige. A hit of asymmetry provides a twist to crop tops, keyhole tanks, and springy wrap vests.
All garments are sewn in Parker’s Issaquah factory, where she also has a 500-item boutique. If you’re averse to driving east, you can visit the Capitol Hill store or shop online (and get ahold of summer pieces in lavender, mustard, and coral).
Wrap up and live loosely.
It’s so easy, you can do it in your sleep.
Available at Lizzie Parker Design Studio & Boutique, 317 Northwest Gilman Boulevard, suite 22, Issaquah (425-427-0708); Spun Sustainable Collective, 1514 14th Avenue (206-328-2102 or spuncollective.blogspot.com); online at lizzieparker.com, $56-$118.
