Tour the Eastside's Best Microbreweries

Hops to it

best microbreweries!

All your pals have found their perfect (bar) mates. And though you’d never admit it, you’ve wanted to settle down for years. Before you decide on The One, make sure you’ve tasted all that’s out there on a tour of the Eastside’s best craft breweries.

Dirty Bucket Brewing Company
The nanobrewery opened its doors in April, but brothers Steve and Chris Acord are already receiving praise from beer geeks impressed by the small-batch selection, particularly the Dirty Blonde Ale.

Black Raven Brewing Co.
At 3 years old, the Redmond-based business has developed a cultlike following, thanks to bold brews like the Trickster IPA. Stop into the 100-seat Raven’s Nest taproom for a taste; nearby Flying Saucer Pizza delivers pies right to your bar stool.

Foggy Noggin Brewing
Jim Jamison’s tiny backyard brewery sits tucked away in residential Bothell. English-style ales are the house specialty; the Bit O’ Beaver English Bitter is a fan favorite. The tasting room (a.k.a. Jamison’s garage) is open most Saturdays, but check Facebook for updates.

Redhook Brewery
The Forecasters Public House at Woodinville’s well-known Redhook serves all the craft brewer’s suds alongside hearty dishes (Cuban sandwich, pulled pork). Enjoy both on the patio when the weather’s warm.

Mac & Jack’s Brewery
The Redmond taproom is far from formal, but it brings growlers filled with locally loved African Amber. Free tours on Sundays offer a behind-the-scenes peek at the complex brewing process.

Your intentions are entirely honorable, we’re sure.
