What: Exclusive tours of top Yakima vineyards, including DuBrul and Boushey, led by the growers themselves.
Why: Learn cultivation practices, soak up Valley views, and enjoy food and wine tasting on-site.

The Seattle Great Wheel Opens

What: The waterfront’s newest attraction — a larger-than-life Ferris wheel — goes round for the first time.
Why: The view from the top.
When: Fri., 4 p.m.-1 a.m.

The Matrix Live

What: Seattle Symphony plays the iconic movie sound track.
Why: Watch Neo dodge bullets on the big screen while you listen.
When: Thurs., 7:30 p.m.; Fri., 8 p.m.

Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival

What: The annual celebration of nautical history and tradition expands across the lake.
Why: Free sail, row, paddle, and powerboat rides, plus races, tours, demos, trivia, music, and a beer garden.
When: Sat.-Mon., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Tues., 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Wed., 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
