Essex Opens

What: Belly up to the bar at Molly Wizenberg and Brandon Pettit’s new Delancey-adjacent spot.
Why: Small plates complement cocktails crafted from house-made ingredients, including a special orange liqueur the pair aged four months in rye barrels.

Trainwreck: a Celebration of Bad Celebrity Memoirs

What: Select authors from Seattle 7 Writers read from the best of the worst celebrity tell-alls.
Why: We can’t wait to hear excerpts from Touch Me: the Poems of Suzanne Somers (which one of us actually owned in high school).
When: Thurs., 7 p.m.
Where: Rendezvous Jewelbox Theatre, 2322 Second Ave. Admission ($5) at the door.

Slideluck Potshow

What: Take a droolworthy dish for the potluck; stick around for the big-screen slideshow packed with works by local artists.
Why: Photographs, paintings, and graphic art by John Keatley, Daniel Carrillo, Andy Reynolds, and others.
