Drink It Down at the New Radiator Whiskey

Craft cocktails and locally made moonshine in Pike Place Market

Ordering vodka and Red Bull says you’re here to party. A beer? You’re uncomplicated. But a shot of whiskey — neat or on the rocks — embodies sophistication and confidence.

Recently opened Radiator Whiskey matches your thirst for the brown stuff with more than 100 kinds of whiskey, including bourbon, rye, Irish, Scotch, and Canadian.

The menu of barrel-aged cocktails even includes a 100-proof moonshine from local distillery 2Bar Spirits that goes down smooth as a Southern drawl.

Soak up the demon drink with bites from the seasonally driven menu of market pub food, such as cornflake-crusted chicken livers; pork cheek stew with smoked cheddar, scallions, and Fritos; and crispy beef lip terrine. Smoked meats are abundant and pair well with the dark spirits.

Enhance the Prohibition-era feel of the joint by joining the Flask Club. Select a classic hardcover book with pages hollowed out to fit a personalized vessel filled with your choice of spirit. It’s kept behind the bar for your next visit.

Sip on that.
