Take In All the Pretty Details at Glasswing

The new lifestyle boutique makes Melrose Market even cooler

A quick errand at Melrose Market can turn into a daylong adventure.

Prepare to while away even more hours at Glasswing, the latest retailer to take up residence.

The formerly online-only lifestyle boutique carries indie clothing, furniture, and accessories lines known for their craftsmanship and design, with a focus on products made in the U.S. Industrial-chic tables, chairs, and garment racks made of reclaimed wood and recycled steel from local brand Brackish are for sale and double as the shop’s decor.

The most welcome distraction, however, is the new section devoted to the ladies. Up your accessories game in a chunky wooden necklace from Irene Wood, modern and dainty geometric pieces from Faris, or a playful Hansel from Basel carryall. Charlotte Taylor’s crepe embroidery minidress and silk penguin button-up add pizzazz to your wardrobe.

Your rugged yet refined gent goes for lamb’s wool sweaters from Norse Projects, Gant Rugger oxford shirts, durable bags from Filson, and cozy Pendleton scarves. Outfit your next backpacking trip with a camp blanket and smart knapsack by Topo Designs.

When you’re ready for a change of scenery.
