Brownie Points

Laura’s Brownies

If Valentine’s Day was like a box of chocolates, it’d be the waxy kind with a little map. Two-word hints (caramel chew, almond delight, no carnations), and you’d still never know what you’d get.

Stop settling for curdled strawberry cream at the bottom of the box and skip the guessing game with homemade brownies from Laura Silvera.

Zillions of requests inspired the L.A. caterer to take her over-the-top signature desserts online and deliver bite-size squares of layered brownie, caramel, and chocolate chips to your door. Her brownies stay fresh up to a month and are available in Valentine tins and (Cupid-free) white boxes.

Silvera keeps her recipe under lock and key (not even her husband of 33 years knows it). So there’s only one way to get them.

All she needs is your address and a week’s notice.

You can be sure she’ll get the hint.
