Band Aid

iConcertCal Software

rock on!

Backstage passes. Cross-country tours with the band. Free booze. You were ready for anything when you started dating a rocker.

That is, until you walked in on him with a pair of skanky groupies. (Hey, monogamy squashes his creativity, man.)

Lesson learned. But you can still be (musically) promiscuous with iConcertCal — an iTunes plug-in that creates a concert calendar tailored specifically to your music collection.

Invented by a pair of UW grad students tired of missing shows, iConcertCal searches local concert databases for bands (and guilty pleasures) in your iTunes library. So you’ll be the first to know when Mike Doughty plays The Showbox, and you’ll have plenty of notice next time Fiddy comes to town.

It automatically updates your listings once a week and allows you to add shows that aren’t connected to your library (say, your friend’s band’s first gig). Plus, the little bugger is totally free and super easy.

Kind of like a certain someone still struggling for a record deal.
