Baby Got Bacteria

Dishwasher-Safe Computer Equipment

squeaky clean keys!

To the naked eye, the office is a dirty place. (To wit: the file of flirty e-mails you’re saving for leverage on your boss.)

But to the scientifically magnified eye, it’s downright disgusting. (A recent study found that desktops harbor 400 times more bacteria than the average toilet seat. So beyond gross.)

Here’s one way to clean up your act: Sweet-talk HR into springing for Seal Shield’s dishwasher-safe keyboards and mouses (er, mice?).

Originally developed for hospitals (who knows what researchers found on office equipment there?), the why-in-tarnation-didn’t-anyone-think-of-this-sooner products won’t hit retail stores for at least another month but are available online now.

The basic starter kit comes with a fully submersible keyboard and mouse, plus an antibacterial mouse pad. So you can say adiós to that crumb-covered space bar and mayo-smudged mouse.

And continue to maintain your squeaky clean rep.
