Last call. You’ve had five too many and are calling a cab. The bartender whispers, “Baby, taxis are for squares” and slips you the Crown Black Car Service number. Do you try it?

Slipping into the black Lincoln Town Car, you widen your eyes in surprise: Wasn’t your driver in that band at Chop Suey?

Turns out the company runs 24/7 and employs many drivers-slash-rockers. Crown Black Car goes anywhere in Seattle but doesn’t use meters: Payment works on the honor system. (So it can’t hurt that you are so charming and cute.)

You reach your apartment. The driver turns down the Depeche Mode and quotes a price — so cheap! You hop out and head off for a night of sweet dreams.

An hour later, yellow cab finally arrives. The radio says a crazed gorilla has escaped from the zoo. Suddenly, the car stops. Something large and hairy is pounding on your window …
