Cry Wolf
How to Cook a Wolf Opens

How to Look Productive at Work While Sext Messaging. How to Go Forever Without Doing Your Laundry.
You could write any number of instructional volumes. How to Cook a Wolf isn’t one of them.
That’s where Tavolàta’s Ethan Stowell (Union) and Patric Gabre-Kidan (Dahlia Lounge) come in. The pair’s so-named second collaboration quietly opened atop Queen Anne Hill this weekend.
Sloped blonde wood ceilings and glowing copper accents make Wolf more intimate than its big brother. But the wee spot keeps it in the family with a warm urban aesthetic and rustic Italian flavors — small plates like scallops with sunchoke puree and house-made pastas like caramelized cauliflower agnolotti.
Incidentally, Stowell’s father, legendary Pacific Northwest Ballet codirector Kent Stowell, is maitre d’.
Clearly, somebody’s raising the barre.
