Taxes. Immigration. Foreign policy. It’s primary time, and things are getting. quite. serious.

Which is why we nominate the e-mail we received from designers Miira Zukale and Anna Huoviala as our favorite stump speech thus far:

“We think that one day the most important things can be strawberry cupcakes, pretty shoes, and lovely bird knee-highs.”

So charming. And so are the hand-printed tights the Finnish pair creates under their label, Zukale&Huoviala (just now available for the first time in the U.S).

Working from a small Helsinki basement studio, the girls dream up winsome prints — purple roses, bright green hummingbirds, aqua flowers — inspired by the “gentle absurdity of everyday life.”

Which, in our eyes, makes them the o-bomb-a.
