And We Like the Boom
Boom Noodle Opens

Ruthlessly persecuted by Atkins, coldly scorned by South Beach. Pity the poor noodle, fallen from grace.
Except at Boom Noodle, Pike/Pine’s soon-to-be-hopping new Japanese noodle joint that’s softly opening this week.
The sprawling space merges chef Jonathan Hunt’s Japanese cuisine obsession (he spent a year doing research in a Tokyo kitchen) with its owners’ mod aesthetic (they’re the dudes behind Blue C Sushi). But it’s the heaping noodle bowls and fresh juice bar that lure with a come-hither-and-slurp seduction.
Grab a seat at the communal tables, choose between chicken ramen, mushroom soba, or curry seafood udon and imaginative drinks like the Pike Street Pear (pear with Fuji apple and vanilla essence) or the Cucumber Mint Fizz (cucumber juice with mint and soda), and say to hell with trendy diets.
Because you’re totally carb neutral.
Boom Noodle, 1121 East Pike Street (206-701-9130 or boomnoodle.com).
