826 Seattle Adult Writing Classes

Writing what you know is one thing. (What with your crackpot of a mother, your evil ex-best friend, and the Summer of Boone’s Farm, you’ve got enough raw material to fill a trilogy.)
Knowing how to write? An entirely different story.
Quiet your inner critic at 826 Seattle, the Dave Eggers-powered nonprofit that just announced its first series of adult classes.
Tap into your inner Tina Fey with How to Be Funny (Ha Ha, Not Funny Strange), taught by McSweeney’s writers John Moe and Ryan Boudinot. Whip out the next Juno during a screenwriting seminar with local film guy Warren Etheredge. Or heighten your sense of irony during editor Christopher Frizzelle’s How to Write for The Stranger class.
They’re only $27 a pop and you’ll be delighted to hear that all proceeds go back to 826’s tutoring and writing programs for young people.
There’s something so satisfying about doing the write thing.
