The Rescuers

The Furrytale Farm Needs Help

can't resist these puppy eyes!

Once upon a time, there lived a woman who really loved animals. She couldn’t understand how black-hearted people could mistreat them. And this made her sad.

So the woman bought a farm on Bainbridge Island where she could care for abused and abandoned pets. Soon she had so many animals that it cost about $20,000 a month to cover expenses, food, and medical bills.

The woman and her volunteers were worried they’d have to start turning animals away. Until one day in early March when the phone started ringing.

Turns out people weren’t so black-hearted after all. Some adopted animals (the farm received two new litters of abandoned pups), some became volunteers, and some donated enough money to care for one of the cute residents for a whole year.

The woman and her four-legged friends were very, very happy.

And they all lived happily ever after.
