A Rose by Any Other Name
Church & State Spring Collection

You’re addicted to Le Pigeon. Obsessed with Le Train Bleu. Despise pumping your gas. And there’s no place like home, except the Ace Hotel.
We sense a severe case of Portland envy.
So take two spring styles from Church & State and call us in the morning. The obscure PDX-based label is now outsourcing production (the designers used to hand-sew everything) — making its witty, vintage-inspired aesthetic a little less impossible to find.
Old faves like Heaven and Earth (a dramatically draped jersey dress) mix with new styles like Shorthand (a Secretary-esque blouse). We love the wallpapery slip dress and shift with regal ruffles.
Preorder from Sotto, a new Oregon-based e-boutique, or roadtrip to Portland’s Seaplane in April for more. The longer you dawdle, the quicker they’ll disappear.
Just do it.
Available at Seaplane, 827 Northwest 23rd Avenue, Portland (503-234-2409); online at sottoboutique.com. To see styles, go to lovechurchandstate.com.
