Paws and Rewind

Seattle Dog Guide 2008

girl's best friend!

You think of him as a human (who happens to walk on all fours and occasionally lick his bum). And you can’t fathom why snotty kids are allowed in restos, but he isn’t.

We can’t change the rules, but we’ve got a few ideas for indulging your pup.

Give Pirate a taste of what it’s like to be in the running for America’s Next Top (Doggy) Model by having photographer Erin Vey capture her on film. Make sure she’s dressed for the part with a puppy polo (Mes Amis, 321 West Galer Street; 206-283-6064).

lick it clean!Little Lulu loves your morning eggs Benedict, so why not let her in on the latte action, too? Inspired by Seattle’s coffee jones, Java du Mutt’s beef- and chicken-based pastes (mix with water and milk) are the ultimate canine bevvie.

If Ryder’s stressed by the daily grind, hightail it to Bainbridge Island’s Ashton Woods Reatreat. The B&B-style inn welcomes dogs with fleece blankets, organic treats, complimentary tennis balls, and space to roam on the beach nearby. Don’t forget a travel bowl.spoiled!

If Princess isn’t feeling like one, treat her to a toy tuna maki from Sushi Pups (Buster and Sullivan, 2612 Northeast Village Lane, U-Village; 206-524-6825). She can chew all she wants and still have room for dinner.

And remember, your dog’s not spoiled.

You’re just well trained.
