Absinthe Minded

Soaking up sun and beer on outdoor patios all summer can sap your energy and befuddle your otherwise potent mind. To set you right, have another drink. And this time trick it out with a little absinthe.

Go ahead. We’re giving you the green light.

Corpse Reviver No. 2

Ingredients
¾ oz. gin
¾ oz. Cointreau
¾ oz. lemon juice
¾ oz. Lillet Blanc
Absinthe (can be found at most state liquor stores)

1. Mix first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

2. Pour into a glass coated with absinthe. (A little goes a long way. A little more further. And you can get pretty far out.)

3. Pretty please, with a cherry on top (or at the bottom).

You can also try the concoction at Oliver’s Twist, 6822 Greenwood Avenue North (206-706-6673 or oliverstwistseattle.com).
