Give the Green Light

Graypants Lights

light up your life!

One man’s trash is another’s treasure. Lately we’ve even taken to looting the recycling bin — paper to be precise.

Find renewed repurpose in lamps from Graypants (so called because of the partners’ penchant for charcoal-colored trousers).

One of Seattle architects Jonathan Junker and Seth Grizzle’s many projects, Graypants ceiling lamps combine practicality with contemporary design. Used, would-be-discarded drafting paper is used to make Sketch Lights — orbs lit to expose architectural drawings penciled on their surface. The duo also breathes fresh life into old cardboard with Scrap Lights, which have corrugated surfaces that deflect light in unexpected ways.

Lamps come in a variety of sizes and are handcrafted, creating unique shapes.

They’re sure to light up your board.

Available online at graypants.com. Scrap Lights available at Velocity Art and Design, 251 Yale Avenue North (206-749-9575). Map It
