This year, carve out time for a pumpkin mission.
Pull of the Tractor
Go exotic with deep red Cinderella or ghoulish Jarradale varieties at South 47 Farm (15410 NE 124th St., Redmond; 425-869-9777). Post-pumpkin picking, plow through the tractor-shaped corn maze, open for flashlight runs until 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. (Thru October 31.)
Get Your Goat
Tour the farm by tractor-pulled wagon (weekends only) and scour two huge patches for the scariest squash at Fall City Farms (3636 Neal Road, Fall City; 425-222-4553). Afterward, hobnob with goats, sheep, and chickens and make your own scarecrow. (Thru October 31.)
Hay, You!
Thirty acres of farmland await pumpkin heads at Jubilee Farm (229 West Snoqualmie River Road, Carnation; 425-222-4558). A kids’ hay maze in the barn’s loft, hot spiced apple cider, and hayrides complete the seasonal session. (Thru October 26.)
Hope it’s a smashing success.
