Cream of the Crepe

Anita’s Crepes Cafe Opens

You couldn’t care less why French women don’t get fat. When it comes to size, your concerns are with portions of Brie, body of wine, and a thinly poured crepe.

Luckily, Anita’s Crepes — a farmers market fave — opens its first cafe today, so the brunch delicacy is no longer confined to the weekend.

Savor standbys like Nutella with bananas or champagne mangos and cream. Not so sweet? Sample the spinach, feta, and mozzarella or smoked salmon, spinach, and tzatziki varieties. The truffle omelets and fish bouillabaisse are also not to be missed.

Owner Anita Ross refined her skills at The Culinary Institute of America and French Laundry and delivers a menu rich with local organic ingredients on Go Green wood tables all within a sunny atmosphere.

And that’s the skinny.

Anita’s Crepes, 4350 Leary Way Northwest (206-838-9997 or anitascrepes.com).
