Happy Birthday Tutu You

Judging by her symptoms — twinkle toes, fits of pirouettes, leotard longing — ballerina fever has set in.

Cure it with a Ballet Birthday Party. Darrah Blanton, a longtime children’s dance instructor, tailors parties to kids’ interests.

Ranging from Swan Lake productions to pirates-and-princesses cotillions, gatherings are BYO tutu, but Blanton supplies scarves, props, and even a full-size parachute. She spends an hour at the venue of your choice teaching kids ages 3 to 10 before turning the party over to parents for the rest of the festivities.

Cake, presents, and pliés: just the antidote for your tiny dancer.
