The Little Engine That Could

BioLyle’s Biodiesel Workshops

Alt rock? Everything from The Afghan Whigs to Wolf Parade. Alternative medicine? You rock your chakras.

But when it comes to alternative energy, you’re gridlocked.

All you really need is a little training. Lyle Rudensey’s (a.k.a. BioLyle) biodiesel workshops will get you cooking fuel that’s clean enough to drink — and power your car.

Each course instructs students how to make biodiesel on an appleseed reactor (a water heater converted to process vegetable oil) and determine fuel quality, as well as introduces technologies and co-ops developed for personal biodiesel brewing.

Grads leave knowing everything they need to get started. Past students have even gone on to start their own biodiesel businesses.

Proving that if you think you can, you think you can, you’re on the right track.
