You plus anyone else in the kitchen equals disaster (remainder: Mom’s tears at Thanksgiving).
Still, sometimes too many cooks are a good thing.
Take Seattle Chefs Table progressive dinner series. Beginning February 25 and continuing through November, six of the city’s top chefs will combine talents and share stove tops to create six six-course meals (plus a surprise finale) for the public.
The culinary dream team includes Maria Hines (Tilth), Joseba Jiménez de Jiménez (The Harvest Vine), Thierry Rautureau (Rover’s), Holly Smith (Cafe Juanita), John Sundstrom (Lark), and Jason Wilson (Crush). Each will prepare a course for the menu du jour, with the rotating host restaurant providing hors d’oeuvres and dessert.
Ninety dollars gets you an evening of delicacies like salt rub squab, black onion venison loin, and Lillet-soaked savarin cake.
You do the math.
