After-School Specialty

Powders, syrups, mockolates — Baby Ruth did it all. After every PayDay, she’d scour frantically for a Skor, unaware of the Snickers around her.

Then Baby Ruth enrolled in Theo’s Chocolate Academy and quit the junk.

Starting April 1, Theo will devote Wednesday nights to educating the public on the science, art, history, and culinary uses of chocolate.

There are three classes to each series (Chocolate Science, Chocolate in the World, Art of Chocolate Making, Chocolate Connoisseur) taught by renowned chocolatiers and experts. Complete a course and gain a certification title like World Expert of Chocolate or Chocolate Scientist.

With topics (and samples) ranging from Exotic Erotic and Factory Secrets to Chocolate for Nerds, you’ll discover many fresh addictions.

And, like Baby Ruth, stop looking for Mr. Goodbar.

Open house, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at Theo Chocolate Academy, 3400 Phinney Avenue North (206-632-5100 or theochocolate.com).
