Stockholm Syndrome

Day five in confinement. Things are tolerable. The food’s not bad. There’s sunlight through a crack under the door.

And my captors always look so nice.

They’re big fans of Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, a Swedish clothing line that pays tribute to traditional tailoring techniques in inventive silhouettes. With a mostly white, black, and gray palette, the pieces aren’t showy. But anyone could pick out their sculpted Scandinavian cool on the street, let alone a lineup.

Abductor 1 was wearing the most captivating witchy-chic circle dress with sleeves that draped to the knee. Her coconspirator looked great in tapered trousers with a high-waisted back. The day before she wore a voile skirt, which was just as cool.

These are really some breakout designs.
